Terms of Service

Last updated: 23 October 2026 · Stratton Arbor Private Limited, India

These terms govern use of the Mei service — the website at meiapp.co, the Mei applications (desktop, mobile, watch) and the Mei APIs, voice and messaging channels (together, the "Service") — operated by Stratton Arbor Private Limited ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, the organisation you represent.

1. The Service

Mei is an AI employee for businesses: she connects to the platforms your organisation authorises and performs office work — reading and ranking email, drafting and sending replies, chasing payments, tracking promises and compliance deadlines, generating documents, taking meeting notes, reconciling books, and responding by chat, voice and phone, according to your plan.

2. Accounts and organisations

3. Your data and authorisations

4. AI output — review before you rely

Mei uses artificial intelligence. AI output can be incorrect or incomplete. Drafts, summaries, rankings, reconciliations and tax preparations (including GST workpapers) are decision support, not professional advice — review them before relying on them, and have filings approved by a qualified professional. Mei asks for approval before consequential actions by design; where you configure her to act autonomously, your organisation accepts responsibility for those actions.

5. Plans, billing and refunds

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Service for unlawful purposes or unsolicited bulk messaging (spam); attempt to breach, probe or overload the Service; reverse-engineer or resell it without written agreement; upload malware; use Mei to infringe others' rights; or circumvent plan limits. We may suspend accounts that endanger the Service or other customers, with notice where practicable.

7. Intellectual property

We own the Service, its software and branding. Your organisation owns its data and the work product Mei produces for it (documents, drafts, notes, reports). You grant us the limited licence needed to operate the Service — nothing more.

8. Beta features

Features marked beta are provided as-is while they mature and may change or be withdrawn. During a public-beta period of the Service, these terms apply in full, and we work to a stated support response time rather than a formal SLA (Enterprise agreements may differ).

9. Warranties and liability

The Service is provided with reasonable skill and care, but — to the maximum extent permitted by law — without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the fees your organisation paid for the Service in that period, and neither party is liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Termination

You may cancel at any time from your account; paid periods run to their end. Within 30 days of account deletion your organisation may request an export of its data; thereafter we delete it as described in the Privacy Policy (encrypted backup residue clears within the backup rotation window).

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India; courts at the registered office of Stratton Arbor Private Limited have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction.

12. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be notified to organisation administrators before taking effect. Questions: contact@meiapp.co.
